- NetEase’s Dunk City Dynasty has hit 250,000 pre-registrations
- there are several sign-up milestones to hit ahead of launch
- It’s set to release for iOS and Android in 2025
Having entered pre-registration just over a month ago, NetEase’s upcoming basketball game, Dunk City Dynasty, has clocked up over 250,000 pre-orders, according to the official website. While that might not be a mind-blowing figure, it’s not too bad, considering it’s not launching for iOS and Android until next year. On top of that, while it’s officially licenced by the NBPA, basketball isn’t a global powerhouse, particularly compared to some well-known series found on mobile.
Still, NetEase obviously has grander ambitions for Dunk City Dynasty, as they do with everything they release, which is evident by the pre-registration milestones they’ve set. Ranging from 500,000 to a staggering five million, they’re offering a variety of goodies for anyone who signs up ahead of launch. You can check out what’s potentially up for grabs below:
- 500,000 – Novice Growth Pack
- 1,000,000 – Star Development Pack
- 2,500,000 – Superstars Gift Box
- 5,000,000 – Star Player Rose
Although Dunk City Dynasty won’t be globally available until next year, a few players have managed to shoot some hoops during the recent Closed Alpha Test. Some stats were recently tweeted about it, mostly focusing on which players were most used and a few other bits and bobs. Unsurprisingly, Stephen Curry, and LeBron James featured prominently.
If you’ve missed our previous coverage, Dunk City Dynasty is a street basketball game where you compete in 3v3 matches. That means we can expect something a little more informal on the courts alongside a laid-back approach to kits. Rather than wearing traditional basketball jerseys, you can dress your players up in fashionable threads instead. Likewise, you can also customise your own court to give it that home turf feel.
Duck City Dynasty is slated to release in 2025 on the App Store and Google Play as a free-to-play game with in-app purchases. Interested? You can pre-register now by heading over to the official website.
