Looking for something new and different to try? RetroStyle Games recently released Ocean Keeper: Dome Survival, an underwater mining roguelite that might just catch your eye. Blending mining, tower defence, and survival elements, you won’t just be exploring the unknown. Here, you’ll be defending your mech from relentless sea creatures while scouring the ocean floor for resources. With procedurally generated biomes and lots of mysteries, you’ll always be discovering something new.
Getting started in Ocean Keeper is pretty straightforward. Use your finger to navigate your diver, mine resources, and drag them back to your mech. You’ll have to manage your time effectively because you need to escape the mine before the timer expires or you hear alarm bells indicating an attack is imminent.
If you do happen to be caught by the aliens, then your shooting skills will be put to the test as you must be sharp and aim precisely to fend off the attackers. It’s not just sea monsters that will come your way, but powerful bosses too. Don’t worry, though; you’ve got a myriad of weapons to choose from. Keep pushing yourself to see how far you can go to outsmart the deep-sea dangers.
Between waves of hostile monsters and exploration, you’ve got some downtime to strategize and upgrade. You can collect several resources that include various upgrades and weapon improvements. You can build automatic turrets, deploy drones, and sharpen your skills. Each run pushes you to try different upgrades which make your drills stronger or grant you a better jetpack. Finally, collect powerful artifacts that may just help you turn the tide in the end.
Here’s a list of the best tower defence games on Android!
