- Research day to be held on September 22nd
- Oranguru and Passimian will be featured during the event
- Purchase a paid Timed Research for extra encounters
We’re about halfway through September and quite a lot has happened for Pokémon Go fans. September 1st saw the launch of the Max Out season, which finally brought the highly popular Dyanmax feature to the AR game. With that of course, all the seasonal content will follow, including events such as GO All Out and Go Big, which have already taken place. Psychic Spectacular is on the horizon as well, with a Research Day to follow.
This month’s Raid Day will take place on September 22nd between 2:00 and 5:00 pm local time in Pokémon Go. The featured Pokémon for the event will be Oranguru and Passimian. On top of that, you may also be able to encounter Shiny variants of the Pokémon at a higher rate, giving you a shot at receiving a stronger Pokémon.
Besides that, the usual Field Research tasks will be available on spinning Photo Discs at various PokéStops. Once you complete these missions, you’ll be granted encounters with the themed Pokémon. Besides them, you can also find some other Pokémon in the wild, such as Mankey, Aipom, Slakoth, Chimchar, and Grookey.
If you’re looking to get ahead of the curve, then you can also purchase a paid Timed Research for just $2 or local equivalent. It grants access to an event-exclusive Timed Research which offers even more Field Research tasks. More quests mean more opportunities to encounter Oranguru and Passimian.

Unlike other seasonal events, this paid Timed Research doesn’t have a long validity. It expires when the event is over, so you’ll have to be quick to complete the tasks. If you slack off by any chance, you’ll miss out on the exclusive rewards. The tickets are also non-refundable, so make sure you have enough time to complete the tasks.
