It’s been just a few weeks since the release of Pokémon Go’s latest Max Out season, which introduced the highly anticipated Dynamax Pokémon to the AR game. While we make our way through the month, Niantic has announced another event for October, the usual Community Day business. This time, a Pokémon all the way back from Gen V is being featured.

Pokémon Go’s October 2024 Community Day will take place on October 5th from 2:00 to 5:00 pm local time and will focus on Sewaddle. The caterpillar-like Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild with its Shiny variant hiding in the bushes too. Make sure you evolve it into Swadloon on the day as well so that it learns the Fast Attack, Shadow Claw.

To make things more interesting, you can also take part in Field Research which grants even more rewards for catching Sewaddle, such as Stardust and Great Balls. Plus, https://www.pocketgamer.com/pokemon-go/showcases/ will happen everywhere too, so be on the lookout for those.

And, as usual, you can buy a Community Day Special Research for $1.00. Through this, you will get more encounters with Sewaddle alongside a few other rewards.

You can make the most of this event by taking advantage of the various bonuses like 2x Candy for catching Pokémon, shorter hatch distances, and extra duration (three hours) for Lure Modules and Incense. Special Trades will also be discounted during the event. On top of that, redeem these Pokémon Go codes for a bunch of freebies!

Once the Community Day is over, you can participate in bonus Raid Battles until 10:00 pm, which will feature Swadloon in 4-star gyms. Beating it will cause Sewaddle to appear around the gym for 30 minutes. Finally, don’t forget to stack up on Poké Balls and other resources by purchasing packs from the Pokémon Go Web Store.
