- Riot Games and Virgin Music Group have revealed the artist line-up for Arcane season two
- It features bands like Twenty One Pilots, Stray Kids and more
- The League of Legends spin-off series was a major hit when first released
If the upcoming release of the second season of Arcane, the hit League of Legends spin-off series, hasn’t already gotten you excited then perhaps today’s news will spark a bit of anticipation. Riot Games and Virgin Music Group have revealed the artist line-up for this upcoming sequel to the popular Netflix-produced animated series, and it features some interesting names.
Arcane follows the backstories of several League of Legends’ iconic champions originating from the twin cities of Zaun and Piltover. With a decidedly tragic twist, the series proved to be a major hit and spawned a #1 hit single with Imagine Dragons’ Enemy.
In season two, set to release November 2024, you’ll hear songs from artists as varied as American rock band Twenty One Pilots, iconic French pop-star Stromae, and even K-pop boyband Stray Kids. That’s not even counting all the others in a line-up that’s produced over 20 singles for the show.
Consider lizards
Aside from elevating League of Legends into the public consciousness for people who don’t know a lane from a jungle, contributing to the breaking of the video game-adaptation curse and just being a genuinely good show, Arcane also made liking Imagine Dragons cool again. Okay, that’s a bit harsh, but it’s fair to say that the band definitely got a big bump from featuring in the show, and if some of these stars aren’t hoping that it rubs off on them then they at least see the potential to produce new singles that’ll be heard around the world.
