  • Spirit Valor is a new throwback JRPG out now on iOS and Android
  • Coming from developer Kemco, it sees you play a nameless spirit attached to a human warrior
  • Wield spirit allies and absorb the abilities from enemies to use against them

If you’ve been going without your JRPG fix for far too long, then don’t worry, because Kemco’s newly-released game Spirit Valor is sure to give you the boost you need! Taking you on a journey between the human and spirit worlds, it promises to offer a vast world to adventure in, and the chance to try it out for free before you buy in selected countries.

In Spirit Valor, you play as a nameless spirit inextricably linked to the human warrior Richard. In this world, spirits which reside in the human world for too long without a vessel become demons, so naturally you have to hitch a ride to avoid succumbing.

Now, you’ll need to use not just the help of spirits and your companions, but also the powers of the mysterious spellstone, in order to find and defeat the evil overlord. The spellstone lets you absorb the skills of your enemies and turn them against others, possibly even birthing a brand new spirit to become your ally!

A spirited battle

Plot and gameplay-wise, Spirit Valor looks to be your fairly typical JRPG. And if that’s what you’re into, it looks as if it’s guaranteed to satisfy with effective, tactical turn-based battles and an unusual world to explore while grappling with its unique magic and spirit-based ally system. You can find Spirit Valor now on the iOS App Store and Google Play, where you can either have a go at the freemium version (available in certain countries) or buy it outright.
