- Demos that degrade over time
- Great dungeon crawlers
- Aggressive sounding legislative proposals
The third episode, of arguably our second series, of our long running podcast returns this week with Will, Catherine and Dann kicking off the show to be later joined by Mihail and Iwan.
This week we discussed a variety of topics, all branching off of the recent news (France24) of the BEUX umbrella consumer rights group filing a complaint with the European Commission regarding their concerns over the prevalance of microtransactions in games played by 11-14 year olds.
We discuss degrading demos, desire-led microtransactions and the fact that we should, perhaps, not be surprised that children don’t understand the value of money from a young age. We also manage to shoehorn Delicious in Dungeon, King of Dragon Pass and a few dungeon-diver recommendations into the chatter.
You can listen to the podcast below, through the Spotify embed, or head over to our Spotify Page – while there you can follow us, which’ll actually get the new podcasts pushed to you as they’re uploaded (which means you can give it a listen before we’ve even got the story live on the website). We’re also going to be looking at more ways of getting it to you over the coming months, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
