Uncharted Waters Origins to debut new Relationship Chronicle featuring Julie d’Aubigny

  • Uncharted Waters Origins is set to introduce a new relationship chronicle for one of their characters
  • Julie d’Aubigny will pursue a new adventure spurred by a letter from her lost lover in The Fate of Fire
  • A new Smuggling mechanic will also let you pursue high reward but at significant risk

Uncharted Waters Origins, the hit naval combat game from LINE Games is set to update one of its roster of historically-inspired characters in an interesting new way. Julie d’Aubigny will now be receiving an update with a new story arc, featuring her in a Relationship Chronicle.

The Fate of Fire features Julie d’Aubigny departing the monastery in which she has been hiding out and discovering a letter from her deceased lover, which spurs her onto a new adventure. If you’ve already recruited Julie you can jump into the new Relationship Chronicle as of the time of writing.

While Uncharted Waters Origins usually focuses on seafaring historical characters the real-life Julie d’Aubigny never really approached water, it seems. She was, however, known for her fencing and opera skills, and her adventurous, romantic lifestyle. While she died sometime in the early 1700s, The Fate of Fire seems to follow a sort of “What if” scenario.

Ahoy there!

Surprisingly, the other addition in this update is something you would have expected to be included in a pirate-adjacent game from the get-go! Smuggling is a new means of trading that offers fantastic rewards, especially if you can accrue enough profit to get into the Smuggling Ring.

However, as you might imagine the reward is not without risk, as searches by the authorities in the harbour can end with all your ill-gotten gains being confiscated.
