  • Registrations for CBT phase one live now
  • Isometric shooter with a top-down perspective and major customisation options
  • CBT goes live on November 27th

Back in July, Sao Paulo-based developer HyperJoe Games revealed their latest game, UniqKiller, an isometric shooter set to release on iOS and Android. It is currently taking applications for its closed beta, which starts later this month, so if you’re looking to try something fresh in the crowded world of multiplayer shooters, UniqKiller may be what you’re looking for.

In terms of core gameplay, UniqKiller isn’t necessarily ‘unique’ in that it’s another multiplayer shooter where you take part in fast-paced battles. Of course, the developers are trying to change things up by opting for a top-down camera angle instead of the first-person shooter layout. So, if you’re tired of the first-person perspective, this isometric shooter could help make things feel fresh.

Where UniqKiller shines is the myriad of customisation options it will offer. You have immense flexibility in building your character, or Uniq. It’s like giving your Sims character guns because you can choose the body type, face, hair, and outfit yourself to create your base hero the way you want. Whether you prefer a comical look or want to look like a gangster boss, the options are endless.

It doesn’t end there as you must select a role for your character according to your playstyle. Then choose a skill path you want to go down to unlock special bonuses. And of course, choose your favourite weapons and get ready to go to town on your enemies. As you progress through matches, you’ll unlock additional customisation options ensuring you’ve always got something new to try.

The current closed beta test is set to go live on November 27th. Three more phases will be held over the next few months, with an open beta planned for April 2025. Finally, you can expect a soft launch on July 25, opening the door for everyone to hop in. And while you wait, you can check out this list of the top shooters to play on iOS right now!

If you’re interested in trying out UniqKiller, then sign up for the closed beta by filling out the registration form.
